Getting Motivated to Go to The Gym for women.
A tiny percentage of people stay committed to their fitness goals, and the biggest obstacle is motivation. So how do you get motivated to hit the gym?
All New Year resolutions have fitness goals, but how many stay committed throughout the year? And what does it take to stay committed?
Once you have decided that you need to start hitting the gym, the first thing that we do is set the alarm. Alright, you are all pumped up to begin your workout sessions on a Monday at 5 AM! You get into the bed and are excited about the early morning sweat sesh, but as the alarm goes off, your mind is making 100 reasons not to go to the gym. Not today, I got that meeting, and I need sleep. I can’t be too tired today. I can always start tomorrow and so on.
This sounds very familiar, right? Each of us has gone through this gadget.
Don’t Fixate on a Day and Time
First, science tells us that fixing a time and good is not enough for being motivated. It is good to make a beginning but stay motivated; we need to make small behavioral changes. So let us not fixate to begin on a Monday or a particular time. Begin by taking small steps. If 5 AM does not work for you, plan your day so that your workout time is most convenient for you. Start your workout for 20 minutes a day and then slowly build up your time spent in the gym. Once you start enjoying the gym session that is set at your convenience,
Hit those BFF and Couple Goals
Get your friend or family member to join in your gym sessions. This is the best way to keep each other committed to goals. Research also says that couples who join the gym together are more likely to stay committed throughout the year. You can also add ambitious and competitive goals to stay ahead of each other.
Get that Sexy Gym Gear on
Remember how you are the best version of yourself when you are in your power woman suit that works for the gym. Simply getting into your gym gear will put you instantly in workout mode.
Set Small Achievable Goals
Hitting the gym is easy; you stay motivated, but you may fall off the radar if you restrict your goals to how you look. Instead, your goals should be on losing 5% of your body weight, running a mile on the treadmill without stopping, etc. Once you start hitting those goals consistently, you are one motivated fireball, and there is no stopping now!
Now you are all motivated and kicking your fitness game, right? There is no harm in flaunting it on your social media and making your followers go J!
